Saaaaaay Cheese!

Cheese and crackers are almost always a hit at any party. They're easy to grab, don't take much time to assemble and can satisfy all taste buds. Platters of high-priced cheese and water crackers can definitely add up, so here are a few tips to keep the costs down!

Traditionally cheese platters have at least 5 cheeses to keep your guests amused. A quick two penny party saver? Cut it down to three types of your choice. Try to mix it up a bit; serve one or two standard crowd pleasers (cheddar, swiss, etc.) and one less common cheese (manchego, brie, raclette). Another wallet friendly tip:  Slice the cheeses into even serving sizes, which helps ensure there's plenty to go around. Serve your cheeses with crackers or freshly sliced bread (your choice), nuts and fruit (grapes, apples and pears usually work well) and you're all set. Now, onward ho to the cheeses!
